Making invited BentProp presentations to the Palauan Ministry of Justice and the Palauan Conservation Society, Koror, 13 and 14 March 03. In addition, making an invited speech at Sam's Dive Tours

While relaxing one evening at Sam's Tours' famous bar after a hard day of exploration Sam Scott, the manager, asked if I might give a presentation of the BentProp work one evening. Having brought my handy laptop and with the (apparent) universal availability of LCD projectors, we set up a time. Much to the surprise of the entire BentProp team, on the appointed evening, a standing-room-only crowd of divers, tourists, local ex-pats and Palauans turned out to hear about the work of the BentProp Project. We had many questions at the end and, more importantly, we received several leads about possible aircraft wreckage.

Palau's Minister of Justice was in the audience and later that week, he asked me to give a repeat talk to his staff so that they might better appreciate the history and the significance should they come across such wreckage (which I did at the MOJ office). Finally, I also received a request to present to the Palauan Conservation Society to which a number of Palauan elders attended. Once again, my talk turned into a two-way street with the audience learning details of their history while we made important new contacts.
