ATTACHMENT 8:
Opening several leads for future PMAN expeditions
We left Palau, as usual, with more questions remaining unanswered than when we arrived. We have at least three areas we want o follow up on, at a minimum:
- More interviews and field searches for the POW's we now are looking
for in Ngatpang and Ngaremlengui states.
- Expanded efforts to determine the fate of LT Richard R. Houle and
his Avenger crew over Malakal Harbor in July 1944.
- Investigate new leads of potential crash sites we found from P-MAN V (including one on a small island near Koror complete with ghost stories).
Almost certainly, more will arise from our archival studies
that will continue throughout the fall in preparation for PMANVI next
winter.
