P-MAN X Update #02 - Prologue 2

We're told that there are presently three JPAC teams in Palau. We expect to overlap with them for at least a week or so after we arrive on 23 February. One recovery team is conducting the third (and probably final) mission at the crash site of the B-24J south of Aimeliik - that plane was shot down on 1 September 1944.. The second recovery team is working the site of a TBM-1C that crashed on Peleliu on 15 September 1944, the day of the U.S. invasion of that island. The third team is an investigative team, which we hope will accompany us to several sites that our team has located in previous years - their job is to assess such sites for the feasibility of committing JPAC resources and returning to conduct future recovery missions.
