P-MAN X Update #27
- Debrief; Flip and Grover's last day We devoted this morning to an all-hands debriefing of the mission so far. We went through the sites we've visited and the people we've interviewed, and tried to characterize what we've learned, what we still need to learn about each target, what we think next year's target list will look like, and what kinds of things we can do to make subsequent missions more productive and less painful. Since Flip and Grover left tonight, this was our last chance to massage all of these concepts as a team. It was time well spent. We ran a bunch of errands this afternoon, had dinner at Bandidos where we took a team photo, Flip and Grover packed, and they headed for the airport. We still have a bunch of stuff to do, including the possibility of checking out a target in the water east of the airport. Hope we can make that happen before the time runs out for Pat, Laura and me. We spent part of the day printing "certificates of appreciation" that Grover designed for various people and organizations that have rendered extraordinary assistance to us this year. We all signed each certificates, and Pat and Laura found a great deal on some nice wooden frames to put them in. Makes a pretty classy presentation. While we were at Bandidos for dinner, we also took a "team photo." Grover also designed a cool format for the photo, which we'll give to a few special people, and each of us will get one, too. - Reid |
